At last weekend I was on meetBSD, conference about BSD systems. It was valuable experience. I’ve listen to various talks (more or less successful), have met friends from The Net. Most successful according to me was about PC-BSD. It looks nice, has couple of wizards (MacOSX like), but seems to have little packages (about 400). For me, which uses system not only to watch movies, but for developing too, it’s too low. Second presentation, which I liked was results of Google Summer of Code. Paweł Sołyga was presenting NetBSD’s and FreeBSD’s projects. It’s pity that it comes less and less every year.
I think this conference was good, in next year I’ll be there too. :-)
